- Our fairy houses are intended as a display/feature item which perhaps your child can use as a visual centre piece. They are NOT suitable for young children to play with directly due not only to the small parts, which could be a choking hazard, but also the delicate nature of the houses. It would be up to you to decide on that age limit, but I would certainly not recommend them as suitable for any child under three years old.
- Ideally the fairy houses are for indoor or conservatory use and should only be used outside in protected undercover conditions – we shall be introducing a range suitable for outdoor use at a later date.
- The use of natural materials might mean that elements of the houses need replacing periodically if placed outside, subject to weather conditions. If outside, they would need to be in a protected position and in an overhang, undercover and out of the rain.
- Every effort is made to avoid insect infestations of the natural materials by quarantining the materials for a suitable period of time and/or heat treating the materials, along with the use of fumigating insecticide.
